When anything can happen
Through performances such as Cinderella in Rubber Boots and The Treasure on the Trash Island, Teater Basun creates worlds where the unexpected finds a place. For the actors, it is about giving the audience new ways of seeing reality.

An expression without limits
The theatre group has always played with form and content, and allows the audience to be co-creators.
“We like to create spaces where anything can happen. When the audience notices that we can come up with anything, they become more open themselves.”

Familiar stories retold
They often take their starting point from well-known stories, but turn them on their head.
"Everyone knows how Cinderella ends, but what happens if she wears wellington boots? It's when we change the story a little that the fun happens."

Improvisation as a driving force
Improvisation is an important part of the process.
"We don't decide everything in advance. The audience influences us, and we like to surprise both them and ourselves."
The festival as inspiration
For Basun, the Jewish Cultural Festival provides an environment where experiments can take place.
"It's a festival that invites us to think differently. It gives us energy to try new things."

Creating memories
The play struck a chord with both young and old with its playful expression. Both adults and children found joy in the absurd and surprising, and the audience was carried away by improvisation and imagination. The fact that Teater Basun managed to unite generations in the same experience was considered one of the festival's real successes.
